We were pleasantly surprised by the secluded location of this guest house, nestled among rocky hills with a beautiful view of a nearby lake. The shared bathrooms were clean and the hot water was reliable. The hotel offered delicious meals, saving us the hassle of finding a restaurant. The highlight of our stay was the close proximity to stunning natural formations like the Hvitserkur Sea Stack and the Borgarviki rocky fort. Despite its basic amenities, this guest house provides an enjoyable experience for those seeking Iceland's incredible scenery. I highly recommend this budget-friendly guest house for a unique and memorable stay.

I had an amazing stay at a remote but rewarding guest house, nestled among breathtaking scenery. The clear night sky treated me to a glimpse of the enchanting Northern Lights. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby Hvitserkur Rock, and the receptionist was incredibly helpful. Despite the small room and outdated TV, the cleanliness and tasty dinner menu made up for it. I highly recommend this pleasant hotel for a memorable experience.

Friendly staff, offering good information about key location. Good restaurant with delicious food options. A decent breakfast provided.
Outdated facilities, including creaky beds that felt like they would break if you moved. Noisy windows with condensation.

I stayed at this unique hotel/hostel in an old school for a few nights. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room and bedlinen were clean, and the atmosphere was quiet. The dinner and breakfast were surprisingly good, with a variety of delicious options. The converted school building added to the charm of the stay. A great choice for a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

We had a great stay at a hotel close to the ocean where seals can be found. the rooms were spacious and comfortable, although a bit dated. the hotel was in a nice, clean area and had reasonable dinner prices. the breakfast in the morning was continental style and perfectly good. a pleasant experience. Cons: Cannot find any fault. 😊.
